TULUM CENOTE  6 Hours

The only Maya city to have been built overlooking the ocean. Tulum, means “wall” or “enclosure”, and this name has only recently been used, when the city was found in ruins. The city once had the Mayan name Zamá , which means “dawn”

The word Cenote, is a derivation of the Maya Word ts´onot or ts´ono´ot, which means "deep thing", "abyss", or "depth".  The caves and cenotes were considered by the Mayans as the birth of life , containers of Virgin water or “suhuy ha”  so they were used for several rites.
